| I finally finished installing the new system in the Z. Big thanks to Chris for the speaker boxes and amp rack. Very nice fellow who helped ensure all the pieces fit in the car till 11pm at his home. Here is a breakdown of equipment and install:
Head Unit: Alpine 9887
F components: Hertz Mille MLK 165
Subs: 2 JL 10 W3v3
Amps:
JL 600/4 HD for the components. Bi-Amped (2 channels to the components, and 2 channels to the tweets.
JL 500/1 for the Subs
0 Gauge power/4 Gauge ground. I used dynamat and MLV (mass loaded vinyl) in the trunk and doors. End result, It sounds amazing. The hertz components are so clear and the JLs are tight! I'm planning on painting the tweeter grills tan sometime in the near future, right now i'm just enjoying music.
